Title: Body Vernacular (Aquatint Etching)
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Some figures look like they are resting on one another while one appears to cling to the other. The whole time though, the viewer may be unaware to the fact that what you are looking at is two nude males interacting with one another. Rather, you are sucked into the beauty of the print’s quality. You learn to appreciate what it is you are looking at. In a medium that is all about looking “timeless,” the opinions of the here and the now are lost and you are simply given an objective image.
