ARTIST’S STATEMENT

America is an unfinished story, a journey that doesn’t have a destination point. The American journey is a work in progress.

EXCERPT FROM THE INTERVIEW

A graduate of Bowdoin College, Paul D. Miller aka Dj Spooky is a writer, artist and musician who lives and works in NYC. His award winning first book “Rhythm Science” was published by MIT Press in 2005, followed by Sound Unbound in 2008. Miller’s work has been exhibited at museums throughout the world. He has performed in a wide variety of venues including The Tate Modern, The Guggenheim Museum, and The Herod Atticus Theater at the Acropolis.

    I love the MUSIC– and admire the musician– and (though I think the wordage actually less scoffable than PDM aka DJS does, indeed, than most people do right now–a reservation that will prompt a mob to say “that’s easy for you to say”, when actually it isn’t) my intention here is to raise a cheer for the glide-ride, the hypnotic motion, and the energy sources of that ARTWORK. I raise my glass to that (drain it in your honor, and then, from my position in the hallway, press it to the music-room wall to listen for more).
