Title: Mother-Daughter Conversation

EXCERPT FROM THE INTERVIEW

A great play gives a sense of what it feels like, living on Earth at this time. I almost said in this country, in this time, but I think it can be bigger than that. Sometimes it can be about more than America, or any country. Theater definitely seems to be one way people can find common ground, and ask together “what is relevant?” My question at this point of commonality would be how do we handle disagreement? On the stage, in this country, in your living room? Photo by Susan Johann.

Some people handle disagreement with war, abuse, or obstinacy transferring a difference of opinion into conflict. Others manage it with compromise or agree to disagree on the point, but move on to find common ground.
